Fee per team: $40.00

 

Tournament Description

4 on 4 Co-ed ( 1 female min. per team)

Minimum of 4 teams will be needed in order to host the tournament

Tournament play will follow  Beach Rules- call your own

Matches will be best 2 out of 3

At least one woman must be on the court at all times

Format

Play each team in your pool two games to 21, win by two and switch on combinations of 10 points.

Top three teams out of each pool will go into single elimination play. Play will be best 2 out three games, first two games to 21 win by two, cap at 27. Third game will be to 15, win by two, cap at 20.

Teams will be assigned to referring matches they are not playing in, one person is needed for this and this person will make calls as appropriate and keep score.

Prizes awarded to first and second place teams.

Rules

Rally score-point scored as a result of each play

Let Serve will be allowed.

Call your own faults, if both teams can not agree on the call then you need to replay the point.

Contacting the Ball

The ball may touch any body part.

The ball must be hit, not caught or thrown.

Reaching Over the Net
When blocking, a player may reach over the net and touch the ball provided…

This contact doesn’t interfere with opponents play or contact is after the player executes the attack hit

Touching the Net

Players can’t touch any part of the net

If the net touches an opponent because the ball was driven into the net,    it isn’t a fault.

Incidental contact with the hair in the net isn’t a fault

No open hand tips

                The ball must be hit cleanly with the hand, straight locked fingers, or knurled fingers.
